Change for change’s sake

17 05 2010

There’s been a bit of change this week. It gets a bit complicated when you factor in National Cup Winners, Atleti winning, the fair play entrants, the prevailing wind, the current marker conditions and other mystical elements.  So, Bangor could play any of these clubs at the moment, if the draw were tomorrow of course.

While we’re on the subject of European football, how did the baton race end?

Well it wasn’t very cosmic in the end. Lovely old Fulham failed to beat the moaning European Aristocrats. How Forlan and his mates had the audacity to celebrate a deflected winning goal beggars belief, I don’t care if it was the winner in a European club final either.  Something tells me when the Jet Set are relying on Uruguay to beat Greece in the second round in the summer Forlan won’t be quite so “clinical”. But that’s football for you. Football  is a waste of time when you think about it.
